Storage Cupboard Radioactive Material

Product Code: HE1007852
Category Lab Storage

Description

This is a stoutly built enamelled sheet-steel cupboard having a louvred, lockable door bearing a standard international red and yellow warning plate. Two keys are provided for the lock. The rear wall of the cupboard carries two narrow steel shelves which ensure that any containers placed on them are at the maximum possible distance from the door.

The dimensions of the cupboard are such that assuming a maximum stock of 30µCi in the form of Co60 is kept on the shelf, the dose rate at the surface of the door would be less than 0.5 mR/hr. A rectangular plastic tray is provided to contain any spillages.

The cupboard is provided with small fixing holes so that it may be screwed to a wall. It is recommended that it is sited away from normally occupied areas and that its back is against or attached to a wall.

  • Dimensions: 380 x 380 x 380mm.
  • Tray: 310 x 240 x 20mm deep.
